Multipulse Electronics has supported Interfleet with manufacturing installation kits for the Class 319 Guards Door Panels and PA installation to their design.

As part of Northern’s plans to run an electric service between Liverpool and Manchester, a fleet of 20 Class 319 trains were given a complete make-over.

Part of the refresh involved the addition of conductor door control panels at all doors of the unit and extra handsets in the middle carriages of the train for the public announcement system. This forms part of Northern’s commitment to ensuring conductors are available to passengers throughout their journey, giving them a more customer-facing role.

Multipulse provided all the guard door panels and relay panels pre-wired, along with the new PA enclosure and all other consumables required to help with an easier installation.
